Luca Pozzi
Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio! I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
My research is mostly focused on biodiversity and conservation. I work in multiple countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, and South Africa.
I joined UTSA in 2016 and I teach across our curricula: introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses and graduate seminars. My lower-division class, Introduction to Biological Anthropology, is part of the Core Curriculum for Life and Physical Sciences. My two most popular upper-level classes, Genes, Health and Ancestry and The Evolution of Sex draw students from many minors in addition to Anthropology, including pre-health professional, Medical Humanities, Public Health, Biology, Environmental Science, and Psychology majors.
